THE GERMAN AMERICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS DANK, a society of German Americans Today, was founded in 1959, and is active from coast to coast, with the purpose and goal to represent all German Americans in the United States. DANK, a nonprofit organization, supports German cultural landmarks and events and the study of the German language.
The German Language School Conference (GLSC) is the national organization for private German language schools in the United States. It represents its member schools and their interests concerning German language and culture and serves as a forum for pedagogical and administrative concerns. SWISS BENEVOLENT SOCIETY CHICAGO The Swiss Benevolent Society of Chicago is a non-profit, private foundation, organized under section 501©(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Society was founded in 1872, shortly after the destructive Chicago fire, and was designed at first to help out members of the Swiss Community of Chicago to weather the hardships inflicted upon them by the fire. Over time, the Society widened its scope while growing its fund through generous contributions and its investment activities.
